How ordering from Kuwait works
The process is the same one our clients in Dubai and Abu Dhabi use, carried out remotely. You share the room dimensions and a photograph or floor plan, choose a design from the catalogue or brief something bespoke, and we confirm size, material and colour before anything is made. Physical samples can be couriered to Kuwait so you approve the exact quality and shade underfoot, not on a screen. Every piece is then made to measure by hand in Dubai: 30 days for hand-tufted, handwoven and handloom rugs, 60 days for hand-knotted work.
Sizing for the diwaniya and the majlis
Kuwaiti reception rooms tend to run long, with seating along the walls, and a standard rug size rarely sits well in them. The rug should hold the full seating arrangement together, with an even margin of floor on all sides, which usually means a made to measure size rather than a stock 8x10. Materials for Kuwait interiors
Most floors in Kuwait are marble or porcelain, cool and hard, and a dense handmade rug changes how a room feels immediately. New Zealand wool is the standard we recommend first: it insulates against the chill of stone under air conditioning, resists crushing, and cleans well. Wool and silk blends add a quiet sheen for formal rooms, and hand-knotted rugs suit those who want a piece that will outlast the furniture around it. Full silk and rare fibres, mohair, alpaca and cashmere, are available for bedrooms and low traffic rooms.
Delivery, duties and what happens on arrival
Delivery to Kuwait takes 7 to 10 days once the rug is finished, to any address in the country. Shipping and duties are handled in the quote, so the price you approve is the price you pay. Each rug ships rolled, wrapped and insured, with care guidance included: vacuum regularly, and professional cleaning only.
