Luxury Rugs in Jeddah, Made to Measure

Luxury Rugs in Jeddah, Made to Measure

Jeddah homes are built for family and for the sea. Reception rooms run long, majlis seating turns the corner of a room, and terraces open to the Corniche air. Rugberry makes rugs for exactly these spaces: drawn for the room, cut to the centimetre, and delivered to your door in Jeddah.

Handcrafted Rugberry luxury rug styled in a bright formal interior

Made for the majlis

A majlis asks for one surface that holds all the seating together, with generous margins beyond. In Jeddah that is often five metres and more, and the seating frequently runs along two or three walls. No size chart carries that. We take a floor plan or measurements and draw the rug from there, in rectangles, in L shapes that follow the seating, or in rounds for a family room, and confirm the dimensions with you before anything is woven.

Where we deliver in Jeddah

Most Jeddah commissions go to a handful of districts, and the rooms in each ask for something different. Al Hamra and Al Shati for waterfront apartments and villas where the light is strong and the floors are stone. Obhur, north of the city, for large family compounds with more than one majlis. Al Rawdah, Al Khalidiyah and Al Zahra for established villas with formal reception rooms. Al Basateen and Al Mohammadiyah for new builds drawn to a plan. We deliver the same way to Makkah, Taif, Yanbu and across the Western Province.

Materials for a coastal climate

Jeddah is humid in a way Riyadh is not, and the material has to answer that. New Zealand wool regulates moisture naturally and holds its colour under strong light, which is why it is the default here. Wool and silk weaves suit formal reception rooms, where the sheen lifts at seated eye level. Jute and wool weaves give a firmer, more textured surface for rooms that open onto a terrace. For pieces meant to last generations, a hand-knotted rug is the traditional construction. The rare fibres of Rugberry Reserve, cashmere, alpaca, mohair, merino and llama, are shown on request for principal bedrooms and private rooms.

For designers and studios

Much of our Jeddah work comes through interior designers, and the process is built for it: drawings to scale against your floor plan, colour matched to the scheme rather than to a catalogue, a strike-off approved before weaving begins, and a single confirmed delivery date rather than a range. Trade terms, project pricing and sample handling are set out on the Rugberry Trade Program page.

Delivery across Saudi Arabia

Every piece is made by hand and delivered to Jeddah, Makkah, Taif and across the Kingdom, finished, bound and ready to place. Shipping and customs are handled in the quote, so the price you approve is the price you pay. Delivery is booked with you once the rug is finished. For the capital, see luxury rugs in Riyadh.

Questions we are asked most

Do you deliver to Jeddah?

Yes. We deliver across Saudi Arabia, with Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam the most frequent destinations. Delivery is arranged when the rug is finished.

Can you make a rug for a large majlis?

Yes, that is our core work. Majlis-scale pieces are made to order at any dimension, including L shapes that follow the seating, and hand-knotted construction is available for rugs intended to stay with the family.

Which materials suit Jeddah's humidity?

New Zealand wool handles humidity well and is the usual choice. Jute and wool weaves suit rooms that open onto a terrace. We will steer you away from anything that will not sit well in the room.

How do I choose colours from Jeddah?

Send a fabric swatch, a paint reference or photographs of the room. Before weaving begins we make a strike-off, a physical sample of the weave in your colours, so you approve the tone in your own light.

Do you work with Jeddah interior designers?

Regularly. Drawings are prepared to scale against the floor plan, colours are matched to the scheme, and trade terms are set out on the Trade Program page.

How long does a commission take?

Selected designs held as rolls are cut to size in about a week. Fully bespoke commissions take longer, and we confirm a date rather than a range at the outset.
