Cashmere is measured in grams where wool is measured in kilos. It is combed from the undercoat of goats that grow it against high-altitude winters, and a single rug can ask for a season's gathering. What that scarcity buys is a softness nothing else quite reaches, and a depth of colour that seems to sit below the surface.
The fibre
True cashmere is finer than a human hair and warmer than its weight has any right to be. It is combed, not shorn, sorted by hand, and used sparingly even by houses that can afford not to. In a rug, it behaves like a well-kept secret: unassuming at a glance, unmistakable underfoot.
Two ways to live with it
Rugberry works cashmere in two registers. The Cashmere Blend collection pairs it with fine wool, keeping the softness while adding the resilience a lived-in room demands; it comes in Salt, Natural and Taupe, made to your measure.
