The fibre
Alpaca, softness from the Andes
Alpaca has been raised in the high Andes for thousands of years, and the altitude shaped the fibre. Each strand is partly hollow, trapping warmth while staying remarkably light, and its surface is smoother than sheep's wool, which is why it feels gentle even against bare skin. The fibre carries almost no lanolin and needs no harsh treatment before spinning, so its natural softness arrives intact. It insulates quietly, resists pilling, and its colours read soft and full rather than sharp. In Alpaca Bloom the fibre is hand-knotted, weightless and warm against the foot, noticeably softer than wool. Made entirely to your measure in any of the ten Reserve colours.
